Five young designers will present their collections for the first time at the Dubai Fashion Week 2008.

The young talents are the winners of the annual Splash Emerging Talent Contest, which allows winners to present their lines during the Dubai Fashion Week.

The winning designers are Dubai-based designers Dianne Consignado and David Manuel who will showcase their David & Dianne collection, Abu Dhabi-based Arshia Khan who will showcase her AK by Arshia Khan collection, Sharjah-based Homa Qamar with her brand Homa Q, Surbhi Jaggi's Inburus and the only out-of-UAE winner, Rula Abu Qaoud from Amman.

The participants will be rubbing shoulders this October with the likes of Indian designer Troy Costa, local fashion giant Salma Khan and British fashionista Lamia Al Sudairi of Al Sudairi Fashion House.
