New foundation from Laura Mercier

Sweat resistant and 15 hours of wear? That’s exactly what we need and Laura Mercier is all set to deliver in September. The Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation, although full coverage, is said to have a weightless formula that feels like a second skin. The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation will be priced at Dh221.

Nova Clinic’s August deal

Called the Summer Survival Package, this deal from The Nova Clinic in Al Wasl covers three types of treatments at a discounted price. Get eyebrow micropigmentation, the HydraFacial MD, and three session of the VelaShape III cellulite treatment for Dh5,650. It’s normally priced at Dh7,350. The deal has to be booked during August but is valid for four months after.

Skinade comes to UAE

Can we drink our way to better skin? A UK brand says we can. Skinade is a drink that is said to increase collagen in the bloodstream, which in turn increases the body’s production of hyaluronic acid, which is an important part of skin hydration. It has no artificial colours and is naturally flavoured with peach and mangosteen. Skinade prices start from Dh800 for a 30-day supply and are available from Iwona Specialty Clinic, Sansaya Cosmetic Surgery and Dental Clinic, Euromed Medical Center, Rose Arbaji and Kalm Holistic Beauty.

Halal skincare

Safi Rania Gold, a halal-certified skincare brand from Malaysia, has launched in the UAE. My first question is, ‘are other skincare brands not halal’? There’s some food for thought.

The range is alcohol and gelatin-free, which might be of interest to people who are particular about avoiding them. The line-up of products includes a cream cleanser, facial scrub, a youthful gold essence and serum, among others. Safi Rania Gold products are available at all Carrefour stores in the UAE.

Tips & Toes at Festival City Mall

This popular salon chain has a new destination due to open in mid-August at the refurbished mall. It will have three treatment rooms, 10 mani-pedi stations and a hair section. Services include eyelash extensions, massages and makeup application.
