Dubai: Some hope to win their dream car once in their lifetime, but for Shabrina Rashid and her family, luck stroke twice in last three years.

The Indian housewife, 29, won yesterday two infinity cars and Dh100,000 at Dubai Shopping Festival’s (DSF) Infiniti Mega Raffle draw. Her daughter also won a BMW two years ago bringing the total number of cars won by the family to three in the last three years.

“I could not believe that we won again, god must be looking down at my family,” said Shabrina, who won the raffle after her husband Rashid Phussari, 36, bought the raffle coupon at a petrol pump in Al Ghusais.

“I thought my husband was fooling me when he told me that I won because my daughter won a BMW 320i at a Lulu Hypermarket draw two years ago and I didn’t think that it could happen again,” Shabina said.

Phussari, who owns a car-parts shop, said he bought the coupon without hope of winning, as many people do.

When he got the call at night saying that he won, Phussari said he didn’t know what the caller was talking about because he forgot about the raffle.

“I said ‘ok, ok’ and hung up. After I realised what’s going on, I called back.”

The car parts dealer said he should open another shop as both wins had happened after he invested in the business.

The couple plans to sell both vehicles and use the money to invest in “our kids’ future.

“The money will come in handy as the rents are going up. I’ll also invest some money into my business,” he said.

Shabrina added that she hopes to invest in a charity, help her husband’s business, pay for her children’s education and build her dream house back home.
