DUBAI: Bollywood super star Salman Khan was in his element on Tuesday when he jetted into Dubai to promote his charity. The actor was in town to officially launch the fashion and accessories line, Being Human, also the name of his charity, with UAE retailers Splash and Iconic.
Joking and obligingly posing for pictures, Khan told tabloid! his charity, which supports educational and medical projects for underprivileged children in Mumbai, came out of the desire to pay it forward.
“When you realise you’re making so much and you know you haven’t earned all of it yourself and that you’ve not worked for it as much as others have and that destiny played an important role, I guess you feel the need to be appreciative. And the need to give your token of appreciation to God,” he said, explaining how his project came about.
Being Human merchandise were recently made available at all Splash and Iconic stores in the UAE.
Khan will visit two stores on Thursday, starting at Splash in Mall of the Emirates at 3pm followed by Iconic at Deira City Centre, where he will also meet fans.
