It only took Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber a month to decide they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Here are other celebs who got engaged or even married within two months (or less) of dating.
1. Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson
The two got engaged after dating for two weeks. The couple’s whirlwind romance started right after 25-year-old Grande’s breakup with Mac Miller. In May, they made their relationship official on Instagram, with comedian Davidson, 24, making the confirmation on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show.
2. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
This love didn’t last but Tom Cruise proposed to Katie Holmes after only seven weeks of dating. The wedding was held at an Italian Castle, complete with a fireworks and everyone at the party wearing Armani. The couple divorced in 2012. They have a daughter together, Suri, who is now 12.
3. Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee
The marriage of actress Pamela Anderson and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee in 1995 happened so fast, even Anderson’s mother didn’t know. She later told People magazine, the news was ‘heart-breaking and shocking’. The couple had only known each other for about four days before they decided to wed on a beach. They have two sons together: Brandon Thomas, who was born in 1996, and Dylan Jagger, who was born the next year. Despite a tumultuous relationship, including Anderson alleging she contracted hepatitis C from Lee, the marriage lasted three years.
4. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom
Former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom met Khloe Kardashian in 2009 at a party and it was love at first sight. A month later, the couple got married in full reality-show style, captured in all its glory on Keeping up with the Kardashians. In 2013, the basketball star was hit with multiple cheating accusations as well as speculations he was struggling with substance abuse. The same year, Kardashian filed for divorce. She is now mother to two-month-old True, her daughter with another basketball star Tristan Thompson.
5. Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton
Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie met on the set of 1999 film Pushing Tin, and married two months later in 2000. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Thornton revealed that it wasn’t easy to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world. After interesting displays of affection, including famously wearing one another’s blood in vials around their necks, the couple separated in 2002. Their divorce was finalised the next year.
6. Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett
The two met while at the sets of Robert Altman’s 1992 film The Player. They got married three weeks later. Over time as Roberts started making films back to back and Lovett was busy touring, the marriage began to feel the strain and they got divorced in less than two years of marriage.
7. Nicolas Cage and Alice Kim
Nicolas Cage and his third wife Alice Kim met in 2004, when she was just 19 years old and working as a waitress. Despite the 20-year gap between them, their marriage lasted for 11 years. They separated in 2015.
8. Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger
Musicians Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger got engaged one month after they started dating and got married 10 months after their engagement. The 32-year-old song-bird was battling with Lyme disease and announced the breakup on her Instagram in 2015. Lavigne said they continue to be the best of friends.
9. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
Carey and Canon secretly got married in the Bahamas after two months of dating. They were married for six years and share twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who were born in 2011. Cannon filed for divorce in December 2012.
10. Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald
The couple first met at the premiere of Little Red Riding Hood in 2011. The Twilight actress and American Idol contestant dated for two months before they got engaged. Reed finalised her divorce with McDonald in 2015 and got married to the Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder in 2015.
