‘Pari’ to spook Pakistani movie fans
Directed by debutant Syed Atif Ali, the film’s trailer has created quite a buzz
Come Halloween, and the fans of the horror genre in Pakistan shall have the chance to watch an indigenous film, titled Pari. Directed by debutant Syed Atif Ali, the spooky fare is comprised of a non-star cast that includes Khushi Maheen, Saleem Miraj, and Faiq Asim, aside from veterans like Qavi Khan and Rasheed Naz. The film’s first trailer was released recently, and it took everyone by surprise. Never has a desi horror film looked this impressive. Kudos to the makers for creating competent CGI and special effects. It’s tagline is also intriguing enough: “When you interfere in the matters of Nature, Nature haunts you back.”
Incidentally, a film by the same name, and in the same genre, is in the works in Bollywood also. It stars Anuskha Sharma in the lead.
