Spartans, it’s time for the battle cry. XDubai is bringing back its women’s only Spartan Race on October 27 at the Jebel Ali Race Course in Dubai.
To be held during the annual Dubai Fitness Challenge (October 19 to November 17), the obstacle course race is open to all women aged 15 and above. Two courses will be created for this race: A 5km Sprint, with more than 20 obstacles, and a 13km Super, with 25 obstacles.
“The woman is the mother, sister, wife and daughter. She is the partner in building the family and building the community. Therefore, we encourage women to exercise and adopt physical activity as a source of happiness and positive energy”, said Saeed Harib, the secretary general of the Dubai Sports Council.
The region’s first Spartan Women’s Race was held in December 2017 that saw more than 1,000 women from across the UAE and the region compete in an Open Sprint Race category comprising of 5+km and approximately 20 obstacles.
