The Hajj: Memories of a Journey

Exhibition celebrating the legacy of the spiritual journey of Hajj to the sacred house in Makkah, through the display of more than 182 artefacts on loan from a range of institutions, as well as donations of personal Hajj memorabilia. Through its six sections, the exhibition traces the historical and chronological timeline of the innovations made to facilitate Hajj practices throughout the ages, including the advent of Islam in the Arabian Peninsula, as well as the development of mosques in the UAE. At Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Open daily from Saturday to Thursday from 9am-9pm, Friday 4.30-10.00pm, until March 19, 2018. Free entry.

MasterChef India Season 5 winner Kirti Bhoutika takes on the first runner-up Ashima Arora, are competing again, under the tutelage and mentorship of Michelin-starred Chef Atul Kochhar and award-winning Chef Amrish Sood. At Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar Restaurant, 7pm. Dh350 for a five course menu.

On the 2nd of December 2017, the United Arab Emirates celebrates its 46th National Day. Swiss Art Gate UAE is marking the occasion with an art competition, where any professional local, resident, regional or international artist above 20 years of age is eligible to submit original artwork .
