DJ Steve Aoki will return to Dubai to perform at Gotha on May 10.
The appearance will mark the end of the club’s opening season, which has seen the likes of DJ Tiesto, Conor Maynard, William Singe and Ludacris take the stage. Actor Idris Elba will DJ at Gotha on May 2.
Aoki, known for his ‘cake-throwing’ antics mid-performance, has released several Billboard charting studio albums, including 2013’s Wonderland, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album. He has also collaborated with producers and vocalists such as will.i.am, Afrojack, Linkin Park, Kid Cudi, Louis Tomlinson, Iggy Azalea, BTS and Fall Out Boy.
Aoki’s own label, Dim Mak, has released more than 250 records by other electro house artists such as Datsik, Infected Mushroom, Dada Life and Zeds Dead.
Entry to Gotha is free until midnight, after which tickets are Dh150 for men. Ladies enter free.
