Can you hear her roar? Pop star Katy Perry will perform a New Year’s Eve show at Yas Island’s du Arena, organisers announced on Sunday.
Perry, known for hits such as Roar, Firework and, more recently, Bon Appetit, will perform on December 31 for the first time in Abu Dhabi.
Tickets will go on sale on November 8 — at noon — online and in Virgin Megastores around the UAE.
“We’re thrilled to bring global sensation Katy Perry to the du Arena stage for this year’s New Year’s Eve concert. The response we received from last year’s successful Coldplay A Head Full of Dreams Tour was incredible, and reaffirms our commitment to continue to offer the best and most diverse entertainment to the region,” said John Lickrish, CEO of Flash Entertainment, in a press release.
Ticket prices range from Dh350 (General Admission) to Dh895 (Golden Circle).
Perry is currently promoting her latest studio album, Witness, on a global tour, which will run until August 2018.
Perry last performed in the UAE in November of 2015, during the invite-only Dubai Airshow Gala.
