Abu Dhabi Classics begins its eight season on a high note. Austria’s Camerata Salzburg Orchestra and violin virtuoso Renaud Capucon kick things off on October 12 at Emirates Palace with a Mozart violin concerto. They are then scheduled to perform Erik Satie’s Gnossiennes and some of the most famous works of the Viennese Classical Period.

Dr Ronald Perlwitz, Head of Music, Arts Department, Department of Culture and Tourism — Abu Dhabi, said, “Abu Dhabi Classics has become a highlight in the emirate’s cultural calendar, playing host to an incredible line-up of internationally acclaimed classical musicians and artistic performances. The eighth season will offer residents and visitors a unique opportunity to experience and enjoy the magical world of classical music and we look forward to welcoming audiences for the eighth season.”

The other confirmed performer this season is French harpist Xavier de Maistre, who plays at Manarat Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island on December 6 and at the historic Bin Hamoodah Fort, Al Ain, the next night.

Get ready for a setlist inspired by Spanish classical music on these evenings.

Tickets to the shows go on sale on July 9, and start at Dh100.
