Riyadh Fashion Week 2024 has wrapped up, solidifying Saudi Arabia’s position as a rising force in the global fashion industry. Held at prestigious venues like Tuwaiq Palace, Digital City, and JAX District, the event featured more than 30 runway shows that showcased a dynamic blend of local talent and international influence.

Opening on October 17, the event kicked off with collections from celebrated Saudi designers Adnan Akbar and Tima Abid, who masterfully combined traditional Saudi heritage with contemporary trends. The shows impressed attendees, including key figures like James Fallon, Chief Content Officer at Women’s Wear Daily, and Francesca Airoldi, Chief Revenue Officer at Condé Nast Italia, marking Riyadh’s growing influence on the global fashion scene.

Day two brought six diverse runway shows, with designers like Waad Aloqaili and Yahya Albishri presenting vibrant collections that reflected the evolution of Saudi fashion. Supermodel Elsa Hosk attended various shows, adding to the international appeal of the event.

One of the standout moments came on the third day, when KAF by KAF presented Saudi Arabia’s first robot, Sarah, on the runway. The Spring/Summer 2025 collection by Kawthar Alhoraish fused cutting-edge technology with high fashion, captivating the audience and highlighting the event's focus on innovation.

Designers like Mona Al Shebil, ABADIA, and Razan Alazzouni continued to impress throughout the week, with collections that celebrated Saudi Arabia’s cultural depth while embracing modern aesthetics.

Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “This year’s Riyadh Fashion Week is not just about fashion—it’s a celebration of our culture and the incredible potential of Saudi designers on the global stage.”

Supported by partners like ANB Bank and Charlotte Tilbury, Riyadh Fashion Week 2024 once again demonstrated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to innovation and creativity, placing the Kingdom firmly on the map as a major player in the world of fashion.
