With the stunning backdrop of a gorgeous island in the centre of Lake Maggiore, Louis Vuitton presented the Cruise ’24 collection inspired by the fairy-tale location
Ominous clouds loomed over the scene at Lake Maggiore where Louis Vuitton presented its Cruise ’24 collection amidst breathtaking baroque surroundings of Isola Bella, a lake-washed cluster of barren rocks transformed over the last 400 years into an opulent palace of splendour. Originally a gift by Milan aristocrat Giulio Cesare Borromeo to his wife Isabella, the island sits in the centre of the famous Italian lake, surrounded by its deep waters and stunningly preserved gardens filled with lemons, citrons, oranges and grapefruits.
But not even the rain could stop celebrities flocking to Lousi Vuitton’s show, with the likes of, amongst many others, Cate Blanchett and Jennifer Connelly attending, as well as Emma Stone, Oprah Winfrey, Alicia Vikander, Catherine Deneuve, and Jaden Smith.
The Maison’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, presented a striking collection inspired by the picturesque surroundings and the fairy-tale setting of Lake Maggiore Bella, and in particular featuring plenty of botanical motifs so in touch with Isola Bella.
