2. Chanel: Chanel’s 2023 Cruise Collection designed by Virgine Viard and presented in Monte Carlo two months ago features these new silver and white sneakers inspired by the chunky styles of the 1990s - they’ll look fantastic on the side of the tennis court, if not at the base line…

3. Louis Vuitton: Revealed as part of the Louis Vuitton 2023 Cruise Collection, the new Louis Vuitton sneaker embraces the brutalist and futurism of the Salk Institute chosen for the show. The extra chunky sole provides comfort and the velcro (of course) makes it a practical choice of footwear.

4. Adidas: One of the biggest fashion collaborations recently as the Adidas and Gucci tie-up for a whole line of women’s clothes and and menswear - the whole collection screams the ‘70s, and we do love the platform soles on this Gucci take on a classic Adidas casual shoe.

7. Jacquemus: Simon Porte Jacquemus has designed a line of women’s sportswear in collaboration with Nike, which includes this sturdy looking trainer available in two earthy tones and durable leather and textile construction with a chunky sole for hiking.
