A full-fledged brand in the JLR dynasty, Range Rover offers ever more breathtaking models. Such is the case with the Range Rover Sport in its spectacular SV Edition One finish. This mountain-tall off-roader has a look to die for. The brand has taken great care with the details, including exceptional 23-inch (!) wheels, machined (a first) from a single piece of carbon block. A true piece of contemporary craftsmanship. These huge rims save 21 kg overall on the running gear, giving our Range a false air of a Hot Wheels toy.
On the road...
Vroom! The solid BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, with light hybridization, delivers a whopping 635 hp. This makes it the most powerful Range ever built. On the road, this block produces a throaty sound, amplified in sport mode.
On the freeway, it delivers incredible acceleration worthy of a Porsche 911. From 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.8 seconds, for a top speed of 290 km/h... Comfort, meanwhile, remains sovereign, thanks to the 6D Dynamics suspension, which is partly hydraulic. It keeps our colossus in a near-horizontal position, even during acceleration, braking and tight bends. Last but not least, the SV mode also delivers extra power to the rear wheels, making the vehicle more playful. A pleasure!
Auditorium on wheels
Forced to slow down along the way? Now's the time to try out the Body & Soul Seat audio system, which offers an "intense sound experience". The seats, equipped with sensory technology, are directly integrated into the system. They vibrate with the music for a more emotional experience, that becomes almost physical.
A new Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two collection has also been launched recently. Based on Edition One, it offers a choice of four customization liveries. This variant comes with several features: carbon-ceramic brakes and a carbon-fiber hood, reducing its weight by 76 kg for even greater sensations.
