For over a decade Piaget has been commemorating the Chinese New Year with celebratory timepieces created around those memorable festive moments, and as a tribute to this Chinese New Year the Swiss luxury watchmaker and jeweller has just revealed the latest limited-edition Altiplano watch featuring the year’s zodiac animal in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel.
As mentioned Piaget has already done eleven of these special limited-edition creations, so for the final zodiac sign in the series it’s the turn of an animal that represents hope and life in this, the year of the rabbit.

Once again Piaget collaborated with master enameller Anita Porchet to create this timepiece, limited to just 38 examples. The special Altiplano watch depicts a pair of luminous rabbits within a 38mm case made of 18-karat white gold and featuring 78 brilliant-cut diamonds. Mechanically the watch is powered by Piaget’s in-house ultra-thin manual-winding 430P movement, and finally the exclusive Altiplano comes with a black alligator leather strap.
