Swiss haute horlogerie manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre has just revealed its latest take on a classic with the launch of the new Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar wristwatch. It would have been mad to attempt any kind of revolution of the iconic model that has been on sale for more than 90 years since its release in 1931, so Jaeger-LeCoultre merely focused on revising the design of the Reverso to incorporate a few touches of more contemporary aesthetics.
As the name suggests the new Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar features two signature Jaeger-LeCoultre complications to display two time zones on the two different faces, with further updates reserved to detailing and texturing for one model available in stainless, and the other in pink gold. Keen watch aficionados will also notice that the new watch features different hour markers.
For the straps, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to work with Argentinian polo boot makes Casa Fagliano, an artisanal workshop still practicing hand-made artisanal craftsmanship to supply calf-leather straps in either deep blue for the stem model and brown for the 18-carat pink-gold model.
