Louis Vuitton recently presented its 125-piece high jewellery line ‘Spirit’ in Marrakech, created by the brand’s artistic director Francesca Amfitheatrof. Celebrities and VIPs at the exclusive event were treated to a display of Louis Vuitton’s largest high jewellery collection yet.

For the role of House Ambassador in the new campaign which launched in print this weekend, Louis Vuitton announced iconic Australian actress Cate Blanchett.

“I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to collaborate with Louis Vuitton – a truly iconic House with an enormous cultural reach,” said Blanchett. “To wear the magnificent pieces created by Francesca Amfitheatrof is a bedazzling pleasure, and Nicolas Ghesquiere, as ever, amazes and inspires me.”

Photographer Sølve Sundsbø was chosen for the series of portraits for Louis Vuitton’s high jewellery collection, with five pared-back shots of Blanchett effortlessly embodying the collection’s themes - Liberty, Fantasy, Grace, Radiance and Destiny, chosen by Amfitheatrof.

Blanchett has been awarded numerous accolades throughout her versatile career, including Two oscars and three Golden Globes. She is known for her roles in Elizabeth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and The Aviator amongst many.
