With the stunning backdrop of the Giza pyramids, Dior will reveal its Autumn 2023 men’s collection in Cairo this December
The Middle East hasn’t hosted a momentous fashion occasion such as this one in a long time, as Dior announces its Autumn 2023 men’s collection show in the most striking of locations.
The iconic French label is gearing up for its next major show with Egypt as the host venue, or more specifically, the stunning backdrop of Cairo’s Giza pyramids.
Created by Dior designer and artistic director Kim Jones, the collection will premiere on December 3, 2022, featuring influences of the sun and the stars as well as the jet-setting generation. According to Dior, “The celestial collection celebrates a lifelong passion for travel.
Dior has already revealed Jones’ Egyptian-inspired couture collection once back in 2004 after Jones travels to Egypt inspired his creations, but this will be the first time the Maison stages a show in Egypt. Having spent a chunk of his childhood in Africa thanks to his father’s career in hydrology, Jones has always harboured a personal connection with the continent.
The pandemic put a stop to Dior’s traditional customary travelling shows for the last two years but they’re back since the lifted restrictions, with last year’s London show kicking things off again.
