Rolex introduced a range of floral-inspired dials at the recently concluded Watches & Wonders 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland. And what you see here is their 31 mm Datejust from the range that is available in three different dial colours. Rolex seems exceptionally proud of the watch and describes it as such on its social media: “A splash of colour. A poetic shimmer. A sense of renewal. The design of the striking new Datejust 31’s floral-motif dial comprises 24 flowers that stand out distinctly from one another thanks to their finishes – either sunray, matt or grained. Each of the flowers is lit from within by a diamond set into the centre.”

However, it is not merely about the flora, it is the combination of metals that sets this model apart from several other 31 mm Datejusts. To ensure exclusivity and attention to detail, the centre of each of the 24 flowers that adorn the dial is a single diamond. That’s 24 diamonds, for all you maths fans out there.

The watch is powered by an automatic Rolex caliber 2236 movement, and features a power reserve of up to 55 hours. When it comes to models it is available in 278381RBR (two-tone), 278288RBR (yellow gold) and 278274 (White Rolesor and Oystersteel).

Expectedly, the diameter of the watch is 31 mm and the case is crafted from either Oystersteel and white gold, Oyersteel and Everrose or yellow gold. The watch is also water resistant at up to 100 metres and features a metal-matched bracelet.
