After a long, painful wait, K-Pop supergroup Exo is finally returning with new music as a full group.
Exo’s long-awaited fifth studio album, Don’t Mess Up My Tempo, is slated for release on November 2 and is their first to feature ninth member Lay, who has been pursuing a career as a soloist in China, in almost two years.
Last week, the band dropped teaser images, unveiling a motorcycle-themed concept, and the tracklist for the album’s 11 songs: Tempo, Sign, Ooh La La La, Gravity, With You, 24/7, Bad Dream, Damage, Smile On My Face, Oasis and a Chinese version of Tempo.
The online photos have also unveiled that Don’t Mess Up My Tempo will be available in three versions: Allegro, Moderato and Andante.
While Lay has not been included in the group shots and is currently preparing to release his solo debut album, Namanana, in the US on October 19, SM Entertainment confirmed the singer has recorded the Chinese version of their new release and filmed the music video with the rest of the eight members.
The album, which has been available for pre-order since last Thursday, is the group’s newest Korean release in a little less than a year since winter special album Universe and January’s Japanese studio album Countdown.
The excitement of the group’s upcoming activities has already been picking up on Twitter, particularly in getting to see Exo as a nine-piece group.
The Kings of K-Pop gained attention for their performance at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics earlier this year and for selling more than a million copies of their studio albums in Korea.
