Allow me to introduce you guys to the latest must-have, Dubai-based delivery app called Spoonfed. The one-month-old app caught my eye with its strapline, “Order food from Karama Restaurants, delivered to New Dubai.”
TBH, while we enjoy dining (and instagramming) amongst the bright lights in places such as Downtown and the Marina, the best grub can be found in towns like Karama, Satwa and Bur Dubai. Disagree with me, go on, I dare you.
Unfortunately, it’s impossible for those little restaurants and cafes, such as Karama’s Canara Restaurant, Chef Lanka and Eric’s to deliver across the city.
Enter Spoonfed that literally wants to spoon-feed the heck out of us.
The app helps these Karama restaurants with deliveries from Business Bay to Discovery Gardens, Barsha to IMPZ and almost every other town in between.
The app is well-built with each restaurant listed meticulously with timings, cuisines et.al. Each restaurant’s menu is segmented within the app allowing you to add your preferred dishes and checkout.
The app is about 8MB in size and currently only available on Android smartphones (the iOS app is being prepped). They request a 90 minute delivery time, so order in advance and be patient, this is quite a new start-up.

Let’s show these guys some love. Something like this shouldn’t die out. More downloads + more restaurants = more delivery options and much more delicious grub. Besides, don’t we all love being spoon fed?
