Where to celebrate Sinulog in UAE

Filipino expats in the UAE are celebrating their own Sinulog in Dubai in January.

The Sinulog is an annual celebration held in the Philippine city of Cebu every third Sunday of January to honour the patron saint Santo Nino. In recent years, the event has become a tourist attraction featuring a grand street parade of dancing groups from around the country.

In Dubai, a group called Sinulog sa UAE is organising the Sinulog celebration on January 31 at Al Safa Stadium. The event runs from 10am to 8pm.

Registration for participating groups is ongoing and ends on January 24. Dance groups must have 10 members and a maximum of 30. For details visit https://www.facebook.com/sinuloguae

Sinulog night at Kitakits

Kitakits Kafe & Klubb, awarded as Favourite Pan Asian Restaurant in Dubai and currently the premier Filipino bar in town, is holding a Cebuano evening of festive  dance, fun, pomp and food on January 18.
