Restaurant offers rich variety with Arab, Indian, and European cuisines
If you’re looking for an iftar with a variety of choices, then CuiScene at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi should the next restaurant you check out this Ramadan, with the restaurant offering a wide range of food in an open buffet setting.
The cuisine at the restaurant includes Arabic and Indian, as well as European dishes. The Arabic dishes themselves come in a wide range of choices, with local Emirati dishes, Lebanese and Syrian dishes, as well as Egyptian dishes being served.
“CuiScene is an international restaurant — people who come to this restaurant come from all nationalities, Arabs, And Europeans and so forth,” said Ayoub Makdissi, head chef at CuiScene.
“CuiScene is a multi-kitchen restaurant. We have the Indian kitchen, we have the Asian kitchen, we have the European kitchen, and the Arabic cuisine as well. So we’re talking about four to five kitchens in one restaurant.”
Makdissi told Gulf News about the different cultures the restaurant will be catering to.
“In Ramadan we will focus more on Arabic food as most of our guests will be Arabs, and it will be a big variety of Arabic food. The main course will be from the Emirati cuisine, then we do the Gulf food, the Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian, and Egyptian cuisine.”
Not only will there be a rich spread of Arabic food, but a variety of dishes from other countries.
“We will also have Indian cuisine, the biryani, the curry, and we will have a lot of focus on Indian food,” he said.
Desserts are also available in abundance for those looking to indulge their sweet tooth, with CuiScene specially making the desserts themselves.
“We have a variety of Arabic sweets, home-made Arabic sweets — you won’t find this at another hotel, we make the sweets here. We have an Arabic Egyptian chef who does a fantastic job taking us to the next level.”
The iftar buffet at CuiScene is available everyday from sunset until 9.30pm, priced at Dh185 per person.
