This giant egg is allegedly Dubai’s biggest Easter egg and is created by Fairmont Dubai’s Executive Pastry Chef, French-national Romain Castet.
It is made from 80 kilograms of 55 per cent dark chocolate and located in the centre of the hotel’s atrium.
This chocolate giant stands more than 2.5 metres tall, weighs 200 kilograms and contains a little over 436,000 calories (yikes).
It took the combined efforts of Fairmont Dubai’s engineering and culinary teams over 4 weeks to handcraft the massive centerpiece for the hotel lobby ahead of the Easter celebrations. Easter is expected to fall on April 1 (Sunday) this year.
The luxurious Easter egg will be on display at Fairmont Dubai from 18 March – 8 April.
