Yara Sabri stars in ‘Under the Sky’ in Dubai

Syrian actress Yara Sabri will star in a one-woman play to be staged in Dubai about a Syrian mother who’s lost everything to war, including her children. Called Under the Sky, the play, directed by Maher Salibi, will run from February 17 to 19 at Ductac in Mall of the Emirates.

In the play, which will be in Arabic, Sabri’s character recounts her blood-stained memories, going through her favourite places and remembering all the emotions, weaving it in with Syria’s history itself.

Tickets are priced Dh50 and Dh100 and will be on sale from February 10 on ductac.org.
