Eid Al Adha Fireworks
Abu Dhabi: Yas Marina’s signature fireworks are set to take place at 9pm, from today until Thursday. Enjoy it with the electric crowds from the Yas Marina promenade or on board a traditional dhow with Captain Tony’s fireworks fun cruise (Dh50 for children and Dh100 for adults from 8.30pm) or in the air-conditioned comfort from the many restaurant terraces.
Dubai: Two sets of fireworks displays over two consecutive days at Festival Bay, Dubai Festival City on Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm and 10.30pm, with multimedia Imagine shows running daily on from 7.30pm every 30 minutes.
Waterfront destinations Al Seef (9pm), The Beach (9.15pm) and La Mer (9.30pm) will mark Eid Al Adha with firework displays over the three days, from tonight.
Sharjah: Al Majaz Waterfront (above) will be ringing in Eid Al Adha illuminating the night sky with a fireworks display starting at 9pm, today and tomorrow. The three-minute spectacle will be unveiled above the Sharjah Musical Fountain and accompanied by a show.
Masha and the Bear
Adventurous little girl Masha and her retired circus bear sidekick will be bringing the fantasy to life combined with theatre, music and dance along with dress-up photo opportunities, crafts and activities and games, at Marina Mall Abu Dhabi. Shows at a 4.30pm, 6pm and 7.30pm, until Thursday. Tickets Dh10 while shoppers can enjoy the show for free (standing), Dh20 for VIP seating area and backstage access.
Black Box Chef Competition
Live cook-off between Yas Island’s celebrated chefs as they go head-to-head in the competition taking place at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, 2pm on Thursday. Visitors will also be able to enjoy culturally inspired celebrations from Wednesday to Sunday, including a ‘cultural maze’, a perfume maker, fishermen in the Heritage Village and a theatrical storytelling experience.
Yas Gaming Festival
Video game lovers have the opportunity to experience gaming like never before at the Yas Gaming Festival which will kick off tomorrow (4-10pm). Visitors to Yas Mall and Cascade Dining can enjoy a treat with five days of family entertainment including live shows, arts and crafts and more, 4-10pm, from today until Saturday.
A splash-tastic line-up of activities, experience Emirati culture with performances from local drummers and Ayalah dancers in addition to all-day play on rides, slides and attractions including a 5D water adventure Cinesplash. Neon Nights returns on Friday where celebrations will light up the night with glowing entertainment.
Balqees Fathi live
Fans of Arabic music can experience the melodious voice of the popular singerat Dragon Mart 2 on Friday at 7.30pm. concert is free to attend. Also, on the same day, a Nabati poetry session will be held featuring readings by eminent Emirati poets from 4pm.
Sunidhi Chauhan Live
The popular Bollywood playback singer will be bringing her melodious songs live for her Dubai fans on Friday, at the Shaikh Rashid Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre. Doors open at 9.30pm. Tickets start from Dh75.
Pink Fong and Baby Shark Live Shows
The record-breaking singalong show will be making its Dubai debut at Dubai Festival City, encouraging children and their parents to join in and take part in an all singing and dancing live show along with other roaming entertainers. At 5pm and 8pm on Friday and Saturday.
All guests visiting Legoland Dubai will receive a limited edition 2018 Eid Al Adha brick. The themepark offers a wide range of indoor activities across its six themed lands; Adventure, Factory, Imagination, Kingdoms, Lego City and Miniland. Families can also take part in the factory tour to learn how a Lego brick is produced and receive a Lego brick fresh from the casting line. Residents can enter the themepark with tickets starting at Dh165 (Dh235 for non-residents).
The grandfatherly figure from Arabian folklore returns to The Dubai Mall to share stories and words of wisdom. Children will receive an Eidya gift. In addition, families can immerse themselves into virtual reality (VR) experiences and interactive games. Shoppers passing through Candylicious will get free treats. Guests can also have free portraits done, caricature style at the Jardin de Parfums pop-up. Activities from Wednesday.
Flaunt Your Style
The first 150 families to visit Modhesh World at Dubai World Trade Centre tomorrow will receive a festive gift bundle on arrival and upon purchasing entry tickets. Children are encouraged to dress up in their best Eid outfits and participate in the competition for a chance to win a shopping voucher worth Dh5,000. The first 40 kids to sign up will enjoy the chance to compete and two winners will be chosen. Modhesh will be taking part in daily parades, shows include the Cirque Hip Hop, an acrobatic stage show with break dancers and the Smurfs Show. Modhesh World runs until Saturday, admission is Dh25 and children under three, senior citizens and people of determination enter free.
The cinema chain will be keeping its doors open for the entire Eid al Adha weekend, offering customers 24-hour access to the latest blockbusters in its Ibn Battuta, Dubai Festival City, Dragon Mart and Mega Mall locations. Movie lovers can enjoy the long weekend with an array of films to choose from including; Mile 22, Looking Glass, Charming, Peter Pan: The Quest For The Never Book, Maradona and Al Badlah, to name a few.
Giant Indoor Games
Little guests can experience larger-than-life indoor games that include Giant Jenga, Xoxo, Kerplunk, Giant Trampoline and Snakes and Ladders. A soft play area will be available for younger kids, while a movie screening area for little movie buffs screening animation films. Kids can also unleash their inner artists and enjoy the paper plate spin art, doodle on the chalkboard wall or colour on giant colouring pages. At The Outlet Village, 3-9pm, until Saturday.
Al Ghurair will host African drumming sessions with a group of artists performing and parading all across the mall dressed up in traditional African attire. In addition, live interactive session wherein visitors can sit and play the drums along with the artists. Families and kids can also enjoy the Aloha Summer Corner, creating themed handicrafts like flower garlands and greeting cards. Also participate in the ‘Win a trip to Sri Lanka’ for two by posting their photos on Facebook and Instagram pages, active until Saturday.
Flight Crew Jump Rope
Kids and adults can join the vivacious artists as they perform jaw-dropping jumps and unimaginable feats, at City Centre Deira. Shows at 3pm, 6pm, 8.30pm and 10pm, until Friday.
IMG Worlds of Adventure
Hang out with your favourite cool characters through the holiday period which includes live entertainment, meet and greets with Marvel and Cartoon Network characters and IMG’s resident dinosaurs and zombies.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Join in the festivities as characters from the beloved Roald Dahl’s tale will bring smiles to the faces of kids and parents with their easy-to-follow Oompa Loompa dance moves, at City Centre Me’aisem. At 3pm, 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9pm for the first four days of Eid.
Family & Friends Pass
Beat the heat with the Flip Out Family & Friends Pass, where up to four people can enjoy one hour in the trampoline park for just Dh120. The bouncing paradise allows you to fly through the air and bounce off the walls. An hour’s bouncing normally costs Dh80 per person per hour. Other activities to choose from include trampolining, parkour and 3D wall running, as well as bubble soccer, archery tag, dodgeball, volleyball, football and basketball. Valid until Thursday.

Also, the Black and White show will mix juggling and acrobatics, magic, dance, pantomime, improvisation along with other live acts. Modhesh makes an appearance tomorrow. Ibn Battuta Mall is hosting a Discovery Channel exhibition at China Court featuring the timeline of historic space exploration and celebrating achievements in space history. Daily 2-10pm, from the first day of Eid until September 10.
Iftah Ya Simsim
Learn about outer space in a fun and engaging way, kids can join in the song and dance performances, making it an edutainment experience. A roaming parade will also take place. At Dragon Mart 2, for the first three days of Eid, at 4.30pm, 5.45pm, 6.45pm and 8.15pm.
RAS AL KHAIMAH
Al Wadi Equestrian Centre
Take the reins and feel the adrenalin rush on a horseback ride under the stars at the Al Wadi Equestrian Centre, offering riding experiences in the heart of Wadi Khadeja.
Jebel Jais Flight
This Eid Al Adha fly like a falcon on the world’s longest zipline; travelling at speeds of up to 120-150kph at a height of 1,680 metres above sea level on top of Jebel Jais mountain.
Children can get eco-minded and use their imaginations to make herbaceous headwear, fashioning crowns from flowers and more, from 6-10pm on the four days of Eid Al Adha at Matajer Al Juraina and Matajer Al Mirgab. The malls will also have a quirky balloon artist creating rubber flowers and animal characters. Matajer Al Juraina has also set up a mini-garden to assist them in planting flowers and vegetables and teach them sustainable habits, with necessary tools and items provided, running from 5-10pm daily, until August 31.
Lively artists dressed as books, pencils, erasers and sharpeners will descend on the mall and make families groove to their special choreography cued to upbeat tunes, at City Centre Sharjah on the four days of Eid, at 6pm, 7.30pm, 9pm and 10pm.
