Ski Dubai to host first ever Para Snow Sports
More than 48 top paralympic athletes from 15 country have confirmed participation
Ski Dubai is set to host the UAE’s first ever Para Snow Sports starting with the Para Snowboard Asian Cup on November 6. This will be followed by the World Para Snowboard World Cup on November 7 and 8, the World Para Alpine Skiing Slalom Event on November 12 and 13 and the Para Alpine Skiing Asian Cup on November 14 and 15.
More than 48 top paralympic athletes from 15 country have confirmed participation, organisers said.
“The UAE government gives unwavering support to people of determination, and we are proud to partner with Ski Dubai to organise the country’s inaugural Para Snow Sports events. These events will not only elevate the standing of the UAE when it comes to snow sports, they set a positive example for local athletes who have a desire to make a name for themselves in the sport,” said Saeed Mohammad Hareb, the secretary general of Dubai Sports Council.
