Visiting the mall on a Friday is scary enough. In October, you can expect it to be even more frightening, thanks to a visit from Dracula.

Ductac will be the venue for a two-night staging of Dracula, a dramatic performance of Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, just in time for Halloween. Performed by the Danu Dubai drama group, it features Iraqi-Scottish actor Hussain Hadi in the lead role and is a new adaptation by Steven Dietz. It’s directed, produced and designed by Danu’s Padraig Downey; the group has put on acclaimed performances of The Shadow of a Gunman and I Am Yusuf And This Is My Brother.

The play is on October 28 and 29 at The Centrepoint Theatre, Ductac at 7.30pm with a 3pm matinee on the 29th. Tickets are Dh60 (students), 85, 100, 125 and Dh150 at the theatre or ductac.org.
