Dubai: Customers are flocking Mall of the Emirates this Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), eager to try their luck at becoming a Dirham Millionaire.

To enter the draw, shoppers need to spend Dh350 or more at the mall's extensive range of over 466 stores.

With more than 60 per cent of these retailers offering massive discounts and bargains, it also gives shoppers the chance to get their hands on Dh200,000 in shopping vouchers redeemable over a one-year period, and Dh800,000 delivered straight to their bank account.

Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Vice-President of the Mall of the Emirates, said: "Mall of the Emirates has once again proved a winning destination for shopping, leisure and entertainment this DSF. This is reflected in the footfall we've been experiencing throughout the festival."

"The response to our mega prize has been phenomenal, and I would encourage all shoppers to take advantage of the fabulous deals on offer and get themselves in that not-to-be-missed million Dirham draw."

Mall of the Emirates features 466 international brands including 220,000 sqm of department stores, fashion, lifestyle, sports, electronics and home furnishing outlets, the largest Carrefour in the city and over 60 stores that are unique to the centre.

The compelling family leisure offer includes a Magic Planet family entertainment area, a 14-screen multiplex cinema, the world-renowned Ski Dubai - the Middle East's first indoor ski resort and snow park - a five star Kempinski hotel and 70 coffee shops and restaurants. Recently, the mall's 500 seat community theatre and accompanying arts centre - Ductac - opened its doors to the public.

The mall is undergoing its largest ever expansion programme with just under half a billion dirhams to be invested in new space and is due to be completed by the first quarter of 2010.

This landmark development within the Majid Al Futtaim Properties portfolio welcomed over 30 million visitors in the calendar year of 2008 thanks to its growing reputation amongst residents and tourists alike.
