Michael Ball to perform in Abu Dhabi

British singer will close SummerFest Abu Dhabi with a night of songs from hit musicals

Dubai: British musicals star Michael Ball has sold out his UK tour, so fans of West End songs living in the UAE will extra lucky when he brings his show to Abu Dhabi for two nights at the du Forum next month.

The Two-time Olivier Award winner closes SummerFest Abu Dhabi with his show, Michael Ball Sings the Musicals shows on Yas Island on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 August.

He’ll be joined onstage by singers from the West End — London’s theatre district and home to some of the world’s top musicals — and the British Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Callum McLeod.

Ball will perform classics from major musicals such as Aspects Of Love, Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Kismet, Matador, Sweeney Todd, Chess, Lion King, Phantom Of The Opera, Cats, Evita and Hairspray.

“I’ve never performed in Abu Dhabi before so I’m naturally very excited about my SummerFest Abu Dhabi shows,” said Ball in a statement. “The show brings together a dazzling bill of musical numbers from some of the biggest productions to have graced the West End and Broadway over the last 20 years — classics, modern favourites, the lot. The show has something for everyone,” added Ball.
