Il Divo to perform in Dubai
The multinational classical quartet will be at Meydan Theatre on February 12
Il Divo, a multinational classical crossover group will perform at the Meydan Amphitheatre in Dubai on February 12. The male vocal quartet comprising Swiss Urs Buhler, Spaniard Carlos Marin, American David Miller, and Frenchman Sébastien Izambard, will bring Amor & Passion tour featuring songs from their new album and their biggest hits.
Il Divo became the most successful international group in the genre in recent years, selling over 20 million records in first five years of its creation. The quartet has won over 150 gold and platinum discs in 33 countries in their first four albums and achieved 50 number one positions on the album charts worldwide, including the number one US debut for Ancora, the only classical crossover album to enter at number one on the Billboard 200. They’ve also sold more than two million tickets in the concerts of their first four albums. In its first world tour they sold out, reaching 69 cities in 18 countries. This was followed by a more extensive tour in 2007 in which the group received standing ovations continuously in 30 countries.
