Fluffy is coming to Dubai! American stand-up comedian Gabriel Iglesias, more popularly known to the internet generation as Fluffy, is bringing his Fluffy Breaks Even live show to the UAE on June 3 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The show is a live version of the reality show of the same name, which sees Iglesias and his eccentric friends — fellow comedians Martin Moreno, Rick Gutierrez, G Reilly and Alfred Robles — go on the road to try out different kinds of food and then attempt to burn it by working out. In other words, they try to ‘break even’.

The unscripted reality show was recently commissioned for a second season.

“We are committed to bringing the best of comedy to the Middle East, South & Far East Asia and no one fits that bill better than Fluffy,” said Thomas Ovesen, CEO of 117Live, who is also taking the comedian to Singapore and Hong Kong.

Born in California, Iglesias is the youngest of six children, raised by a single mother. It was during his childhood that he developed a strong sense of humour to deal with the obstacles he faced. In 1997, he set out to hone his comedic skills, and performed stand-up anywhere he could find an audience, including biker bars and hole-in-the-wall joints.

Now one of the biggest and most recognisable comedians in America, Iglesias is known for his irreverent, animated comic stylings and the “Fluffy” persona.

Tickets will soon go on sale on www.117live.com and all Virgin Megastores.
