1) 24-hour Eid Mall Mega Sale

Where: Abu Dhabi.

When: June 15-16.

Here’s where all shoppers tick off everything they desire from their lists. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi has announced a 24-hour shopping experience with up to 90 per cent off across malls to mark the first day of Eid. More than 1,500 stores are involved this year, with the sale kicking off at 10am on June 15 and running until 10am on Saturday.

2) Yas Waterworld

Where: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

When: June 15-17.

Experience the region’s very first 5D Cinesplash at the water park alongside Al Ayyala dancers and live music by local drummers. Look forward to the park’s original story The Legend of the Lost Pearl, a tale of adventure inspired by the UAE’s culture of pearl diving, as it comes to life to celebrate the occasion.

3) Urban Circus at BoxPark

Where: Box Park, Dubai.

When: Throughout Eid.

From festivities featuring parkour and roller-skate artists to buskers to break-dancers, the Urban Circus brings together talents from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid. Make the most of this entertainment at one of the city’s trendiest and most eclectic locales.

4) Atif Aslam in Dubai

Where: Shaikh Rashid Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre.

When: June 17.

Get set to groove as renowned Bollywood singer, Atif Aslam, is all set to perform his famous renditions including Dil Diyan Gallan, O Saathi and Tere Sang Yaara this Eid. Tickets start at Dh110.

5) Toy Land at City Walk

Where: City Walk, Dubai.

When: Throughout Eid.

The open-air destination will transform into a toy land offering a variety of games, over-sized toys and quirky photo-booths. Head over to make your own handicrafts and enjoy offers on food and beverages.

6) Rollercoaster Rally at Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi

Where: Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi

When: June 15.

The first mega rollercoaster in the world opens doors to 24 hours of adventure and entertainment to guests this Eid. One-day passes to Ferrari World start at Dh295.

7) Queen Elizabeth 2

Where: Port Rashid, Dubai.

When: June 16 to 17.

Celebrate Eid the royal way on iconic ship, Queen Elizabeth 2. They are pffering a range of events including brunches, dinner shows and special stays. Brunch (1-4pm, starting at Dh250); Razzle and Dazzle Dinner Show (9pm-12am, starting at Dh395); Stay packages starting at Dh1,500.

8) Fireworks at Dubai Festival City Mall

Where: Dubai Festival City Mall.

When: June 15 from 9-10.30pm.

Dubai Festival City Mall celebrates Eid with musical firework displays for four days this weekend. Get the chance to experience your special message appear at the wishing well through light and music. Registrations take place at the Disney pods at the mall.

9) Football-themed Entertainment at La Mer

Where: Jumeirah, Dubai

When: June 14-16; 5-11pm

All the football fans out there, this is something you wouldn’t want to miss. The contemporary and modern district, La Mer, will transform into a football fan festival with activities including jugglers, stilt walkers, hand balancers and lot more. Cafes and restaurants across the area are also offering a host of irresistible dining deals.

10) VR Park

Where: The Dubai Mall

When: 10am – 11pm (weekdays); 10am – 1am (weekends)

Be part of the virtual world and challenge reality with your friends and family at the newly opened VR Park. Lose yourself into a virtual reality experience that takes you onto an array of journeys including horror, adventure, sport and a lot more. Applicable for all ages, entry to the VR park is free.

11) IceBykes

Where: Dubai Ice Rink, The Dubai Mall

When: 10-11.45pm

What better way to beat the Dubai summer than ice-skating? Experience the thrill and joy of gliding on ice with a fusion of both, ice skating and cycling at the Dubai Ice Rink for the very first time. IceBykes is being introduced in the country and is an exclusive experience for all citizens. The activity cost AED 80 for a 30-minute session.

12) Children’s City

Where: Creekside Park, Dubai.

When: Second and third day of Eid.

Dubai Children’s City will host several shows and plays for children including ‘Amigos’ and the Clowns’ Stage Show in Al Ajyal Theatre. Get the chance to curate your own Eid candle, design Eid cards and be part of interactive competitions. Surely, something your little one shouldn’t miss out on!

13) National Geographic Abu Dhabi and Genius

Where: City Walk, Dubai.

When June 15 to 17, 11am to 9pm.

The network is hosting an experience inspired by its TV series Genius: Picasso and will showcase ‘local geniuses’. The pop-up will see UAE artists transform old objects into art pieces live, to spread the messages of recycling, protecting the environment and appreciating art.

The experience is free to attend.

14) Modhesh World

Where: Halls 1 – 8 , the Dubai World Trade Centre

When: Until August 25, 10am to midnight.

Modhesh World is back for its 19th edition and with a lineup that is packed with entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy the thrills at the Amusement Park or take in live shows such as the Wonderland Parade with Alice. You can also visit the Hello Kitty zone with its traditional Japanese gardens and activities. General admission is Dh25 and children under 3 go in free.
