Dua Lipa will headline the first anniversary celebrations of the Louvre Abu Dhabi next month.

The New Rules and One Kiss singer will perform on November 11 at the Louvre Abu Dhabi concert village, wrapping up four days of celebrations at the venue. Tickets are available for Dh200, including free entry to the museum between 2-6pm.

The British pop star, who performed in Abu Dhabi in February this year, is part of a four-day calendar of events at the museum.

“Louvre Abu Dhabi’s anniversary celebration is the perfect moment to thank all visitors for making our first year a success and invite them to experience the museum through poetry, music, architecture, design and much more,” said Manuel Rabaté, director of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

A series of pop-up performances dubbed Spoken Art, inspired by the museum’s artwork galleries, will take place on November 9 and 10. Seven spoken word poets will perform in various spots across the museum, directed by Dorian Paul Rogers, from 1-6pm. The poets include Jayzus Zain and Qutouf Yahia from Sudan, Safwa Mohammad and Jorge Monterrosa from America, Chamma Al Bastaki from the UAE, Aathma Dious from India and Danabelle Gutierrez from the Philippines.

Visitors can also watch an animated piece by Emirati interdisciplinary designer Salem Al Mansoori, who creates data-driven and narrative-based works. Al Mansoori will unveil his latest digital piece, Constellations, which visually reflects visitor data from the museum’s first year; it will be show in the venue’s entrance lobby.

A 30-minute discovery tour, taking place at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm on November 9 and 10, will also be available; families, teens and children can work together to build constructions out of large-scale geometric shapes.

Young visitors can take a stroll through the ongoing Manga Lab, where they can explore Japanese youth culture through virtual reality, arcade gaming, an expression wall, and a relaxing reading area. There will be workshops and masterclasses about the art of Manga and comics.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is closed on Mondays. It’s open Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, from 10am-8pm, and Thursday and Friday from 10am-10pm.
