American ‘90s band Big Mountain and tribute group Abba Mania will perform in Abu Dhabi as part of The Big Grill festival in December.
The acts will perform for two consecutive nights each, on December 7 and 8, at Yas Links in Yas Island. The Big Grill kicks off a day earlier on December 6.
Big Mountain are best known for their remake of Peter Frampton’s Baby, I Love Your Way, which climbed up to the second spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in the ‘90s. Meanwhile, Abba Mania formed in 1999 as a tribute to the Swedish sensations and played for 18 weeks in the Strand Theatre London in 2002.
The Big Grill is a BBQ and grill fest, where chefs share tips and secrets while visitors can enjoy steaks, refreshments and more.
“This year’s edition of The Big Grill finds a new home in Yas Links; a move to build on the success of previous editions. Festivities to the island will welcome increased number of visitors and vendors,” said Aleksandra Gorokhova of Mission Control X, the event organisers.
“2018 promises to fare even better experience as local chefs and international artists light up the festival,” she added.
Doors open from 12pm to 11pm. Admission to The Big Grill is free of charge.
