Republic of Gamers unveils ROG ASTRAL RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition and showcases Strix SCAR 5090 Series at DEF 2025

Republic of Gamers (ROG) is set to electrify Dubai Esports Festival 2025 (DEF) with its most iconic hardware yet. For the first time, the ROG ASTRAL GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition — a limited-edition golden GPU — will be unveiled to the public at the ROG booth (Stand Z36, next to the main stage). This marks the first opportunity for end users to witness the Dhahab Edition in person — a timeless treasure forged in tribute to the Arab region’s ambition and ascent.

Alongside the Dhahab Edition GPU, ROG is debuting its flagship Strix SCAR series in the UAE. The ROG Strix SCAR 18 and Strix Scar 16, now powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs, redefine portable performance. Featuring Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors, up to 64 GB of RAM, and 4 TB of SSD storage, these laptops deliver AI-enhanced speed, real-time ray tracing, and DLSS 3.5 support.

Both models are available at leading retailers and via the ASUS eShop Middle East just in time for Game Expo, which runs May 9–11 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

DEF attendees will also be among the first to experience ROG’s fully immersive booth environment. The ROG Combat Hub will host daily Fortnite, Valorant, and CS2 tournaments over the Game Expo weekend, competing for a total prize pool of Dh10,000. Visitors can test drive the entire 2025 ROG line-up — Flow Z13, Zephyrus G16, G700 desktops, monitors, peripherals and more — in interactive demo zones. A custom ROG Beat Saber map will challenge guests each day, with exclusive prizes awarded to top scorers.

Beyond hardware, the ROG Elite Program has become even more fun and rewarding at DEF 2025. Visitors who register on-site will gain early access to new products, exclusive invitations to esports challenges, members-only giveaways, and community events. All purchases of Strix SCAR 2025 series laptops include a collectable ROG backpack and a complimentary Monster Hunter Wilds game code, redeemable via Armoury Crate until May 31.
