Muhammad Ali Saeed Shaikh, CEO, Shaikh Mohd. Saeed Group Of Companies, sees a preference for lighter, modern blends even as classic fragrances stay on top of consumer lists this Eid. Excerpts from an interview:

What scent profiles are becoming popular for Eid gifting? Are people leaning towards traditional notes like oud and amber, or are lighter, modern blends gaining traction?

Eid is a special time when fragrances become more than just gifts. We continue to see strong demand for classic fragrances like oud, amber, musk and rose which hold deep cultural significance. However, there is also a growing preference for lighter, modern blends particularly among younger customers.

At Shaikh Mohd Saeed, we have noticed that more people are choosing perfumes that mix traditional Arabic scents with fresh modern touches. For example, oud combined with vanilla, kunafa, citrus or floral notes is becoming a popular choice for Eid gifts. These new blends still feel luxurious but are also great for everyday use.

Our diverse portfolio reflects this evolving taste. We are offering perfumes that appeal to both heritage lovers and modern fragrance seekers. This seamless balance between tradition and innovation has been central to our growth and continued success in the fragrance industry.

Can you share any exclusive insights into your upcoming summer or Eid-special fragrance launches for 2025? What makes them stand out?
