Dubai Marathon 2024, one of the region’s biggest annual athletic events, will take place on 7 January offering a run with a view as participants pass landmarks including Madinat Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab. With options depending on skill level – 42km, 10km or a family-friendly 4km– participants are encouraged to sign up in advance for the landmark event. DUBAI POLICE CARNIVAL
Want to catch awe-inspiring feats, cutting-edge innovations, spectacular performances and get up-close with the most impressive supercars in the city? Then head down to City Walk where Dubai Police are set to mesmerise the crowds with the free-to-attend event, Dubai Police Carnival. On until January 7. Feel the rhythm and energy as the Dubai Police Musical Band sets the mood for a festive atmosphere, then prepare to be awed by some four-footed friends as the horsemen and the Police Dog Show come through for a proud strut. Witness the glamour and power of the Dubai Police Supercars up close. The final day of the Dubai Police Carnival on 7 January is set to be an extraordinary event, with a parade including police horses, marching bands, supercars, motorcades and more at City Walk. Starting at 7:30pm from the Coca- Cola Arena, the parade will proceed all the way through Happiness Street.
FUSION JAPAN
Global Village plays host to the Fusion Japan dance crew from January 6, 2024. The Japanese supergroup comprises two rival dance groups, Fabulous Sisters and Kyushu Danji, both renowned for their exceptional performances on global stages. Fabulous Sisters reached the Divisional Final in the second season of World of Dance and made semifinal appearances in Asia’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent. Most notably, they secured consecutive victories in the World of Dance - Youth Division in 2016 and 2017, earning the title of World Champion.
