Musical biopic on Oct 28, and art exhibition at Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

Dubai-based Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts is bringing an Indian musical in Hindi and Urdu based on the life and music of Ghazal Queen Begum Akhtar on October 28, at 7:30pm at the Emirates International School auditorium, Jumeirah, Dubai. A musical biopic of Ghazal Queen Begum Akhtar, the grand production “Haaye Akhtari” celebrates the legend’s musical legacy with live music, theatre and dance presented by an ensemble of 40 artists in Dubai. To celebrate the legacy of the international artist Pablo Picasso, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library (MBRL) invites the public to attend ‘Picasso Days’ event, on until Oct 31. The program includes various activities within the framework of its celebration of great writers, authors, and artists through the monthly ‘Library Days’ program of events.
An exhibition displaying more than 40 pieces by visual artists from the Arab region will also be held. Their paintings will be inspired by Picasso’s school of abstract art, to showcase the impact he left in the world of art and history.
