I have a mild sinusitis problem, but it’s annoying me as I am sniffling all the time. Is there a permanent Ayurvedic cure for this?

Yes, there is. The Ayurvedic approach to treating sinusitis is a 360-degree one, and can involve a combination of detoxification processes called panchakarma, and oral medicines, dietary and lifestyle modifications, depending on the patient and the severity of the condition.

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses due to, for example, an infection, allergy or autoimmune issues. Part of the panchakarma therapy includes nasal infusion where medicated oils or herbal powders are introduced into the nostrils to drain out the mucus from sinus channels, reduce inflammation in the sinuses and increase overall health of the nasal membrane and sinuses. The typical duration of therapy is one to three weeks.

Treatment also includes medicine, steam inhalation and hot fomentations to reduce inflammation and infection of the sinuses. Precautions to prevent a bout of sinusitis include avoiding exposure to the cold, not sleeping during the day and not using cold water to wash your hair. It is also advisable to eat warm, light foods.
