Video guide to spicy fried fish fillets, ready in 15 minutes



Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 2 minutes per piece

Serves: 3

 

Ingredients

400 gms fish fillets

2 egg whites

Cooking oil for frying

 

To grind:

1 cup of coriander leaves

3 green chillies

2 tsp lime juice

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

Salt to taste

 

Method

Step: 1

Blend the ingredients mentioned under 'to grind' into a fine paste.

 

Step: 2

Marinate fish fillets with this paste and keep aside for 10 minutes to rest.

 

Step: 3

Whip the egg whites in a bowl until it achieves a thick foam consistency.

 

Step: 4

In another bowl, take some breadcrumbs. Dip each fish fillet piece in the egg white and then coat in breadcrumbs. Keep aside.

 

Step: 5

Add some cooking oil to a pan and heat it over a medium flame.

 

Step: 6

Place the coated fish fillets in the oil (two or three, as per the pan's size). Cook over a medium flame till the fish fillets achieve a golden brown colour.

 

Step: 7

Cook each side for atleast one minute or until it turns golden brown.

 

Step: 8

Use a slotted spoon or skimmer to transfer the fried fish fillets from the pan to a plate. The crispy fried fish fillet is ready.

Serve hot as an appetizer or a side dish with some ketchup.
