Zee it all: Bollywood stars take over Macau
Macau: Bollywood stars are out in full force to make this year’s Zee Cine Awards (ZCA) in Macau a night to remember. tabloid! has learnt that Ranbir Kapoor was up till 2am Friday morning practising for his live on-stage performance at Cotai Arena -- and he hasn’t given up.
Friday afternoon also saw the Kapoor lad in rehearsals. He’s not alone. Bollywood’s flavour of the month Vidya Balan and ace dancer Shahid Kapoor (who made his foray into showbiz by being one of the extra dancers from Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe in Aishwarya-starrer Taal) have also arrived into Macau.
The pair is billed as one of the higlights of the ZCA. While Balan’s performance is an ode to dancing girls such as the doomed sex siren Silk Smitha, Kapoor will pay a tribute to the late actor Dev Anand.
Scorcher Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan - one of the chief attractions at ZCA - was expected to arrive at the palatial Venetian Mauau Resort later on Friday.
Meanwhile Priyanka Chopra skipped a Agneepath meet-and-greet with fans at Dubai Mall to catch her flight to Macau. The Don 2 actress has a lot of rehearsing to do as she plays host of ZCA with King Khan.
Meanwhile, tabloid! was witness to some starry tantrums at Macau airport. A seemingly inebreited Rajiv Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor’s brother and star of Ram Teri Ganga Meli) had a fit when one of the airport officials politely informed him that wheelchairs were not allowed near the immigration counters. Huffing and puffing, he swore like a fisherman - much to the discomfort of Imtiaz Ali, the director of Rockstar and other passengers.
Kalki Koechlin was also spotted at the airport looking breezy in a cream linen shirt and pants. tabloid! is covering the Zee Cine Awards direct from Macau.
