She was three hours late for a Melbourne concert and her fans didn't let her off the hook
Dubai: Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar had a night to remember — for all the wrong reasons.
The singer reportedly showed up nearly three hours late to her Melbourne concert, and fans weren’t having it.
Booed by an increasingly restless crowd with chants of "Go back", Neha tried to salvage the situation the only way she knew how: with tears.
Instead of owning up to the chaos, the pop star got emotional on stage, offering heartfelt apologies while choking up. In a video that’s now making the rounds online, Neha is seen saying, “Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho… I’m so sorry!” She promised to make it up to fans by making them dance — but not everyone was in the mood to groove.
While a few in the audience clapped politely, others continued to call her out for her unprofessionalism.
The internet didn’t let her off the hook either. Reddit users were quick to point out that the teary moment felt more like a performance. “Very good acting. Yea Indian Idol nahi hai,” one user snarked. Another added, “Three hours late??? That’s just plain disrespectful. At least offer a refund.”
Some even questioned the concert itself: “Who in their right mind goes to a Neha Kakkar concert?” one wrote bluntly.
Of course, a few die-hard fans came to her defence. “Whatever the situation is, always respect emotions,” said one, clearly moved by the crying-on-stage moment.
But the overall verdict? If punctuality is the bare minimum, tears don’t earn you a standing ovation — especially when fans have been standing for hours.
