Mani Ratnam's abduction drama Raavan may not have won brownie points with critics but controversies continue to dog this Abhishek-Aishwarya starrer.
Abhishek Bachchan's stunt double in the film is now crying foul at being sidelined, while Bachchan Sr has jumped to his son's defence, claiming that poor editing was to be blame for the disjointed performance of his son.
Bangalore-based diving champion M.S. Balram has come out and spoken about the 80-foot dive stunt he performed for the film which also prominently featured in the trailers — to "set the record straight", according to the Indian media. While some have gone as far as to say that Abhishek claimed he performed all stunts himself, the actor did speak at length to tabloid! about how they "pushed bounderies" with the stunts. The words "stunt double" were clearly not mentioned then.
Meanwhile, Big B has responded to reactions about his son's performance. "It's sad; in the edit you only see the after effect of that thinking process, hence inconsistent... you see a confused Beera expression and wonder why?" the icon tweeted.
