The trailer features new faces including Ryeoun and Lee Jun-young
Dubai: Weak Hero Class fans, it’s finally time to celebrate. The teaser trailer and release date of the second season has finally been announced.
As someone who has personally waited for this announcement since the first season aired, back in 2022, the announcement of the sequel has me looking forward to see how Yeon Si-eun’s (Park Ji-hoon) navigates being in a new school, facing even worse people than he did in the first season.
Weak Hero Class 2 will follow the journey of Si-eun, who transfers to Eunjang High School, after the trauma of failing to protect one of his closest friends. At his new school, however, he will continue to face this struggle to survive, as he faces even greater violence while he tries to protect his new friends.
The teaser trailer begins with Si-eun fights Geum Seong-je played by Lee Jun-young (When Life Gives You Tangerines), with the lead narrating “Su-ho (Choi Hyun-wook), I got into another fight. I’m sorry.”
The trailer introduces us to new faces who joined the show including Seo Jun-tae played by Choi Min-yeong (XO Kitty), Park Hu-min played by Ryeoun (Twinkling Watermelon), and more.
In the second season, rumours about Si-eun circulate around school, as students assume he killed someone. But the one thing that makes your heart break for our protagonist is when his walls begin to break down as he opens up to having new friends. He says, “I had forgotten… how great it is to have friends.”
While you wait for Weak Hero Class 2 to release on April 25, you can catch up on season 1 which was recently added to Netflix.
