Aspiring actors in the UAE, your shot at the spotlight is here. Image Nation Abu Dhabi is looking for stars for its yet-to-be-titled TV drama series all set to begin filming later this year.
Speaking roles are available for actors fluent in Arabic, in Gulf, Levant, or Egyptian dialects, and are open to both Emiratis and Arabs. Non-speaking roles are also available for Pakistani and Indian nationals.
The Arabic series will follow the life of a young Emirati lawyer and her father, a top attorney, as they deal with challenging legal cases while navigating personal and family dramas, said Image Nation. The first season of the series will feature 20 one-hour episodes.
“Providing both established and aspiring actors with the opportunity for so many juicy roles should help them enormously to both develop their craft and gain wider public recognition,” said Michael Garin, CEO of Image Nation. “It’s a unique chance to bring compelling entertainment to audiences around the world, while providing a host of opportunities both in front and behind the camera.”
Alwiya Thani, the production manager at Image Nation, said it’s an amazing opportunity for Emiratis looking to break into show business to be part of an original television show.
“We are particularly excited to have such strong female characters, especially our lead lawyer. These reflect the important roles women play across our society and provide unique opportunities for a host of female actors,” she said.
Mohammed Al Mubarak, the chairman of Image Nation, added: “This is a landmark programme for Image Nation and the region. We are creating compelling entertainment at a Hollywood standard, while reflecting the experiences and locations of the Middle East.”
Those looking to audition should send their CV, headshot, full length photo and, if possible, a video showreel to adjcasting@imagenation.ae. Successful candidates will receive an email advising them of the time and place to attend the casting.
