10 highlights from the MTV Movie Awards 2017

Here's what made news at this year's MTV Movie Awards;

Emma Watson makes history as the first individual to win the 'Best Actor' award in a category with nominees from both sexes. She won it for her role in Beauty and the Beast and topped it off with an inspiring speech (as you’d expect from a speaker at the United Nations)

Millie Bobby Brown poses on the carpet in her all-white ensemble; the second individual with the honour of being winner of a gender-neutral acting award (Best Actor for her role in the show Stranger Things).

Hailee Steinfeld sets the carpet on fire in a mini dress by Fausto Puglisi.

She then quite literally went on to set fire to the stage in this stunning performance as Belle from Beauty and the Beast in the opening sequence:

The young model-turned-actress goes bold with this look capturing every eye’s attention in strikingly dark colours with a contrasting shaved head.

The leads of '13 Reasons Why' take up the camera lens as they haunt us with their societal relevance to mental health today; Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) and Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette).

While J-Lo wore this look to the 42nd Grammy Awards, MTV (and us) couldn’t help but point out how many memories bloomed the moment we saw a similar (though less scandalous) look on Jillian Rose Reed.

Zendaya stuns as expected in this number showing off her sleek and svelte figure with her hair throwing us back to old Hollywood glamour.

The Fast and Furious Franchise team show their jubilation at winning the Generation Award.
