The White Lotus star Leslie Bibb: Five things to know about the actress

Dubai: One of the stars of Season 3 of The White Lotus, Leslie Bibb, is currently experiencing a career high as the show continues to draw mostly glowing reviews.

Bibb plays Kate, a stay-at-home mother who reunites with her old friends, a lawyer (Carrie Coon) and an actress (Michelle Monaghan), at the White Lotus resort in Thailand. You may have watched and enjoyed the first episode of this Emmy award-winning show, but how well do you know Leslie Bibb? Here are five things we can reveal about the glamorous Hollywood star: 

At 16, Leslie Bibb won the first nationwide American model search competition held jointly by The Oprah Winfrey Show and Elite Agency. This teenage triumph led to a successful modelling career wherein Bibb graced the covers of many prominent magazines, including Seventeen and CosmoGirl. We love her model vibes on Instagram as well; she was recently pictured looking extremely glamorous in black at the premiere of Season 3 of The White Lotus.

Bibb went from small roles to getting her big break as a lead star with the witty, clever and often ridiculously plotted teen drama Popular (1999-2001). She played high school sophomore Brooke McQueen, an attractive cheerleader who clashes with Sam McPherson (Carly Pope), a teenager trying her best to be unconventional. An underrated show that lampoons teenage American stereotypes, Popular ended after two seasons. 

Bibb, even with years of diverse screen experience behind her, regards Season 3 of The White Lotus as another opportunity to challenge herself as far as her craft is concerned. “I just wholeheartedly knew that I would come out of this a better actor, which is always what you’re looking for,” she told Backstage. Here’s what a review from The Guardian has to say about Season 3: “Exquisitely shot, scripted, paced and performed, it’s a sumptuous feast for all the senses.” 

Bibb’s long-term partner is Academy Award-winning actor Sam Rockwell, known for films like Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), among many others. Rockwell and Bibb started dating in 2007 when he was filming Frost/Nixon in West Hollywood and they have been together for over 15 years. Though seen at celebrity events together, Bibb and Rockwell maintain a low profile as a couple. 

Bibb, who is 50, swears by two beauty products, a Dermal Repair Balm and Mist by Epicuren, that help her maintain her glowing skin. She told The Strategist, “My skin is very sensitive, and New York in the winter is terrible for my skin. You go from freezing cold into hot buildings. This stuff is really soothing. If I burn myself or get a facial or chemical peel, I put this on. It heals everything. It’s magic in a little jar. Every time I put it on, I feel like my skin’s going, oh, thank you so much.”
