The Rathish Ambath directed film Kammara Sambhavam opens with Napoleon Bonaparte’s quote — ‘History is a set of lies agreed upon.’ That sets the mood of this satire written by Murali Gopi that centres around Kerala politics, where liquor barons of the Indian Liberation Party in Kerala are unhappy with prohibition laws.

To regain power they engage director Pulikesi (Bobby Simha) for making a film on the 96-year-old Kammaran Nambiar (Dileep) — supposedly a revolutionary. Kammaran’s heroism will make him their party’s flag-bearer. When Pulikesi meets him for a narration his life unfolds, taking viewers into the pre-independence era.

The film belongs to Dileep. He is in top form as Kammaran with three different looks and several layers to his character. Fans are in for a treat.
